Immunohematology Research Center is dedicated in the researches of non-infectious risks of blood transfusion. The focus of research in our center is genetic basis of human blood groups with the aim of increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the processes involved in the resolution of complex antibody problems, and in locating antigen-negative blood for transfusion recipients. We are also interested in the immunological response involved in organ and HSC transplantation, providing consultation for matching strategies for clinicians. Immunohematology Research  Center has three labs, i.e. RBC Blood Group Lab, HLA Lab, and HPA Lab. HLA Lab is HLA Reference Laboratory affirmed by MOH, as well as Tissue Typing Laboratory of CMDP affirmed by Red Cross Society of China.

• Genetic background of human blood groups, HLA and HPA in Chinese population.
• Technological and strategical researches concerned in the clinical practice of transfusion medicine and in allo-HSCT and organ transplantation.
• Effect of malignant diseases on blood groups.
• Influence of immunogenetic background on the susceptibility and progression of diseases.
