The Biotechnology Center is subordinate to the blood transfusion institute of china academe medical science, jointed by the department of plasma protein and the department of biotechnology. Since 1970s the Research Staff have dedicated to study plasma protein engineering, cell engineering and gene engineering. Researching and developing the relative products of transfusion, blood safety and detection reagent were done at the same time.

1. More than 10 kinds of plasma protein products were developed, such as human blood albumin, intramuscular injection immunoglobulin et al.
2. 6 Production Licenses including the detection reagents of APTT, PT, TT, Fib and NCCP, coagulation factor IX deficient plasma have been gained. The products have been used by clinical laboratory, blood center, institute et al.
3. We have most kinds of coagulation factors detection reagents.
4. The researching of thrombosis and hemostasis detection reagents, especially the detection reagents of coagulation factors is in the national lead.
5. The center for detection products researching of Sichuan Province has been settled in our center.
6. A 863 project has been carried out in our center now.
